Purpose and Scope

Responsible for the design of marketing research projects, analysis of results and general marketing support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze current research and statistical techniques, and evaluates the latest research developments to develop new market research methods.
  • Establish research methods, such as survey, opinion poll, or questionnaire, and design means for collecting data for each project.
  • Develop and assist in conducting surveys and focus groups to analyze customer purchasing patterns, preferences, and the organization's image and marketing effectiveness.
  • Identify market opportunities that exist and implement specific programs, both tactical and strategic, that assist with revenue-generation and overall market penetration.
  • Create customer programs that enhance product support and effectively position the company for overall market growth in the dental segment.
  • Research market conditions and conduct feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new products or services.
  • Work closely with internal team (regulatory, finance, sales and marketing, logistics, etc.) to coordinate tactical elements regarding the marketing message.
  • Gather, analyze, and compare competitor data and pricing to that of the organization.
  • Maintain SalesLogix database and use computer to examine, analyze, and compile statistical data.
  • Prepare reports, including charts and graphs, and present recommendations for action plans to management.
  • Clean and check data, and update SalesLogix database.
  • Ensure follow-up with customer inquiries that come over the Company website and establish/monitor a direct mail plan to ensure the highest hit rate possible with our targeted audience.
  • Prepare marketing and promotional materials for seminars and trade shows; track promotion results.
  • Keep current inventory of product and literature and coordinate shipments to seminars and trade shows.
  • Track all leads that come through trade show process; implement follow-up program with each in order to increase product exposure and support.
  • Conduct literature reviews and searches for articles and studies that mention Zila product and distribute to the sales force as necessary.
  • Provide customer support for territories that do not have a designated sales representative.
  • Conduct customer service follow up calls to offices where sales presentations and demonstrations were given.
  • Travel in the field with local representatives and managers as needed to remain aligned with customer needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficient knowledge of SalesLogix and technical ability to manage sales-related software systems.
  • Data driven; strong understanding of key business metrics that drive our revenue performance/growth.
  • Skill in effective communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Skill in the interpretation and manipulation of sales and financial data.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in teams.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize action items.
  • Ability to clearly identify and measure metrics critical to field success including new account generation and monitoring.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Five or more year's experience in a marketing analyst role.
  • Previous experience in the dental business a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment; requiring sitting and standing.
